Babies Sin? . . . . but babies are innocent, how can they sin or do they sin at all?
Actually, the purpose of this Sermonette is to teach us what real sin is and where real sin is. Most people think they know, but in reality. . . . they don't quite have a strong grip on the handle of it. So. . . . how can a baby sin anyway?
For the creature was Made Subject to Vanity ("self-centered"), Not Willingly, but by reason of Him who hath subjected the same in hope,
If we analyze the above verse, we can see that we (as creatures of the Creator) were actually Made (created, born) Subject to Vanity.
Vanity is an Older term used to convey the meaning of being "Self-Centered." Now The Eternal Creator's word says that we have No Choice in the matter ("Not Willingly"). In other words, It is our Human Nature (The Nature of Unrighteousness) to be "Self-Centered," as opposed to "G-d Centered"!. . .Why?
Because "Self-centeredness" is born out of "The Instinctive Will To Physically Survive" (Survival Of The Fittest).
Additionally, we see that we have no choice in the matter. We have been "Subjected In Hope." This "Hope" is that we will choose "Good" over "Evil" or "Selflessness" over "Selfishness" according to the "Righteousness Seeking Spirit of Yahweh" (Holy Spirit).
Now, how many of us would be Willing to Die for our children or a spouse? I think that most of us would answer "I would" to this question, after all, most of us Love our children and our spouse. Now,_ How many of us would be Willing to Die for a total stranger, requiring us to put more value on a stranger's life than on our own? Well, not so many, but that is exactly what Messiah Yahshua did for us! As we can plainly see from His Selfless Sacrificial Example of True Love. However, none of us are actually being asked to die for another, BUT to become a "Living Sacrifice" instead.
Therefore, babies, little children, and adults have to ..Learn to Share, ..Learn to Give, ..Learn to Love, ..because ..Giving is Charity, ..Charity is Love, ..and Love is the Opposite of Sin or selfishness. ..However, babies don't ..Truly Love ..when they are born ..I repeat, .."Babies don't Love when they are born!"
Oh ! Babies are Lovable ! ..But ..Babies ..Take! ..Babies ..Need! ..Babies ..Crave! ..And through crying and tantrums babies .."command." ..They can't help it. ..Babies are .."Self-Centered Survivalist," ..and they were created with this instinct (it's human nature), but as Adults, we can help it! That is why, even though babies go through the motions or actions of sinning, they are not actually sinning or held accountable until they understand the difference between choosing "Good" over "Evil" or "Selflessness" over "Self."
14 Therefore YHWH Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Yahshua (Immanuel).
15 Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may (eventually) know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good (meaning before he is mentally capable), the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.
Note: Okay, before some of you say "That is not really a prophecy of Messiah." Listen to me with your heart, and understand, that it doesn't matter if this is a prophecy of Messiah or not. What matters is that this is a prophecy of a "True Righteous Worshipper of Yahweh," and more importantly for this message "A Baby" or "A Young Child." However, I will say that this prophecy is at the very least a physical to Spiritual parallel or precursor of Messiah. A literal "Shadow Of Things To Come," and also, a really good example of the innocents of babies. Maybe now you can recognize the reasoning behind this next verse.
1 Corinthians 14:20
Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice ye are children, but (rather) in understanding be men (adults).
Note: In malice ye are children ! That is not an indicator of "Self-less-ness."
Okay, so let me reiterate my previous statement:
That is why, even though babies go through the motions or actions of sinning, they are not actually sinning or held accountable until they understand the difference between choosing "Good" over "Evil" or "Selflessness" over "Self."
Sin is not the apparent action of disobedience, but the actual attitude that may or may not cause the action of disobedience. For example, if Abraham had actually killed (sacrificed) his son Isaac as instructed by Yahweh, Abraham would not have sinned, because the attitude of Abraham was an attitude of obedience to Yahweh. However, for (Abraham's Physical Seed's) Isaac's sake, he was spared.
Note: This was not only a test of obedience, but also, a physical-Spiritual parallel (another precursor) of Yahweh and the coming "Selfless Sacrifice of Messiah" (for the sake of Abraham's Spiritual Seed).
Therefore, all Actions that a man (or woman) can bring upon himself OR others is only accounted as an actual sin IF the action (OR plan of action) that breaks (OR potentially breaks) any of Yahweh's Commandments (Law or Torah of Love) is the result of a self-centered (not YHWH centered) mental attitude (Spirit), and is an obvious indicator of the true intent of the heart (Spirit).
"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery;' but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust (a mental attitude) after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart (mind or Spirit).
So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if you live after the flesh (Self-centered), you must die; but if by the (power of the Holy) Spirit (A Righteousness Seeking Mentality or Attitude) you put to death (or put an end to) the deeds (or actions) of the (lust of the) body (self-centered desire), you will live (receive eternal life). For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the "Sons of God" (There is no difference between "the Sons of God" and "The Children" of God").
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the "Children of God" (There is no difference between "the Sons of God" and "The Children" of God"):
Most readers of this message should realize by this definition that "The Ten Commandments" is/are simply a condensed version of legal categories wherein lie all of the possibilities in which mankind can devise to sin against Yahweh. Within these ten categories lie disobedience to Yahweh's Ordinances, Observances, and Holy Spirit. However, when viewed by a "Righteousness Seeking Attitude (or "Holy Spirit") of Love, these Ten Legal Requirements of Yahweh's Covenant with His True Believers are revealed to be Two Laws of Righteous Love. The First and Greatest is directed towards Yahweh; the Second is a reflection of the first, and is directed toward mankind; BUT they are ALL directed away from "Self."
37 Yahshua said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart (spirit), and with all your soul (Life), and with all your mind (logic).'
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
40 The whole law and the prophets depend (are based) on these two commandments."
One further clarification: Babies are "Born into Sin," but this does not mean they are sinners. To be "Born into Sin" simply means to be enveloped by or subjected to sin. That envelope of sin is this natural world (Satan's world of Human Nature), and babies and adults alike are "Made of Flesh,", and are "Being Subjected" to sin by the five senses of our flesh. Therefore, having the "Instinctive Will to Survive" they will ultimately sin. Only Yahweh's Righteousness seeking (Holy) mentality (Spirit of God) can separate us from our natural sinful mentality (lust) or "Attitude of Self."
Even Messiah "Rejected Self " (repented at his baptism unto repentance by John the Baptist) prior to being tempted by Satan (Source of Human Nature) immediately after his physical baptism. After all, the attitude of physical survival ( physical life for SELF ) does not allow for the attitude of self-sacrifice ( physical death of SELF ). This is not to say that Messiah did not have the mental ability to consider "Self;" He obviously did or he could not have been tempted, and he mentally or Spiritually agonized (suffered) because of it.
5 So also Messiah glorified not himself to be made a high priest; but he (YHWH) that said unto him, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten (appointed) thee (Hebrews 1:5, Psalms 2:7, Acts 13:33).
6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the (Righteousness Seeking) "Order of Melchisedec."
7 Who in the days of his (Messiah's) flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him (YHWH) that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8 Though he (Messiah) were (an appointed) Son (A Righteousness Seeker), yet he (Messiah) learned obedience (G-d does not need to learn anything) by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made (taught to be) perfect (not created perfect), he became the author (the inspirational writer) of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
10 Called by YHWH a high priest after the (Righteousness Seeking) "Order of Melchisedec."
Matthew 3:15-17 & 4:1-4
And Yahshua answering said unto him, Allow it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to magnify all righteousness (which is something a "Righteousness Seeker" would say). Then he allowed him.
16 And Yahshua, when he was (physically) baptized (to symbolize his rejection of "SELF" for Righteousness Sake), went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens (clouds) were opened unto him, and he saw the (symbolic manifestation of the) Spirit (Righteousness Seeking Mentality) of YHWH descending like (similar to) a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven (the clouds), saying, This is (this day) my beloved (appointed firstborn) Son, in whom I am well pleased.
4:1 ¶ Then was Yahshua led up of the (Righteousness Seeking) Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil (Human Nature).
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter (Human Nature or Lust of The Flesh) came to him, he said (in his own mind), If thou (speaking in his mind) be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread (thinking to feed himself with his new powers).
4 But he (mentally or Spiritually) answered (reminded himself) and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (which is something a "Righteousness Seeker" would say).
Additionally, one must learn that death to "Self" is actually the beginning of "Spiritual Life." Regardless of whether or not Messiah Yahshua appeared to sin at anytime or not is not the issue here; the clear issue is that in Yahweh's opinion Messiah Yahshua was a "Righteousness Seeker" at the time of his selfless sacrifice on the torture stake. His purity was further reinforced by the vow of the Nazarite Priesthood, which he openly proclaimed approximately twenty-four hours prior to his selfless sacrifice. So was Messiah Yahshua God himself ?. Answer: No, he was not, but he was "Like Minded" or "As One" with Yahweh mentally or Spiritually speaking, as are all of the "Children of Yahweh."
Put to death (mortify) therefore your members (mental attitudes of "Self") which are on the earth: (such as) sexual immorality, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry (worship of "Self"); for which things sake the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience.
Therefore, "Teach your children how to Share, to Give, and to Care For Others . . . Teach Them How To Love! . . . . But, also, teach them how not to be victims. If parents (relatives and friends too) would teach babies, and children how to love (as defined by 1 Corinthians 13), our world would be a much better place in which to live, and our prisons would not be overcrowded.
So why are all humans born into sin (enveloped by sin)? Because it is to Satan (Unrighteous Human Nature) that we are subjected in hope.
